Food and beverage fleet management, on time and compliant.
TenTrucks brings food and beverage fleet management into one app: ELD compliance, dock wait times, preventive maintenance and IFTA reports.
Start ready for a food fleet.
Generic fleet management software buries you in screens you don't need. A Food & Beverage account starts with hours of service (driving-hour limits) on and a menu built for the food and beverage industry.
- Start with common US rule sets, like 70 hours in 8 days
- Set ELD, electronic logbook or no log for each driver
- Change labels, menus and settings whenever you like
Stay ahead of every driving limit.
A 3:50 a.m. start and a slow dock burn the 14-hour day, so the driver app shows exactly how much time is left.
- Warn drivers 30, 15 and 5 minutes before a limit
- See every driver within an hour of a limit
- Give miles driven with nobody logged in to the right driver
Know how long every dock holds you.
A slow dock pushes back delivery times for the rest of the route. TenTrucks alerts you when trucks arrive at or leave each site and records the time on site.
- Get arrival and departure alerts by app, email or text
- Show customers how long their dock held your truck
- See trucks on a real-time map and replay any trip
Keep trucks ready before dawn.
A truck that won't start at 4 a.m. is a route nobody runs, so TenTrucks schedules service and turns every reported defect into a work order.
- Plan vehicle maintenance by miles, days or engine hours
- Add your own pre-trip checks, like a trailer washout
- Get alerts for engine trouble codes and low fuel
File IFTA fuel tax without spreadsheets.
Regional food runs and beverage distribution cross state lines all the time, so TenTrucks counts miles in each state from GPS and builds the quarterly report.
- Get miles per state counted for you
- Snap a fuel receipt and let the app read it
- Add fuel by hand or take it from the ELD
Do your trucks need an ELD?
Check each driver separately, because one delivery fleet can have every row below.
| Your truck or driver | ELD needed? | In plain words |
|---|---|---|
| Small truck or van under 10,001 lb | No | Check the weight rating on the door sticker. Under 10,001 lb, it isn't a commercial truck under federal rules. |
| Local route driver, done within 14 hours | Usually no | The local-driving exemption covers drivers who stay within 150 miles of the yard, as the crow flies, and finish within 14 hours. You keep time records for 6 months instead. |
| Route driver who both sells and delivers | Usually no | A driver-salesperson who stays within 100 miles and spends no more than half their work hours driving doesn't need to be back within 14 hours. |
| Truck with no CDL needed, back at the yard every night | Usually no | Drivers in these trucks who stay within 150 miles keep no log. They can't drive after the 14th hour on duty, or the 16th on 2 days a week. |
| Driver who goes beyond the local limits now and then | Some days | Those days need a logbook. Paper is fine for up to 8 days in any 30. After that, it's an ELD. |
| Regional or long-distance runs most days | Yes | Regular long runs mean an ELD. |
General federal rules, not legal advice. Your state may add its own.
What TenTrucks doesn't do
TenTrucks doesn't read reefer temperatures, door sensors or the cold chain. Temperature and other food safety records come from your reefer unit or another system built for that.
It doesn't measure the 150-mile radius, plan routes, capture proof of delivery or import fuel card transactions.
