- Can I get the PT40 ELD device for free?
- Yes. On a 1-year TenTrucks plan the PT40 and the cable for your truck are free, and the ELD service is $29 per truck per month. Without a contract, buy it here for $149 with free shipping.
- Is the PT40 FMCSA registered?
- The PT40 works with the TenTrucks ELD app, which is self-certified and registered with FMCSA and on its official list of ELDs. FMCSA doesn't approve devices; providers register them.
- Which cable do I need for the PT40?
- It depends on your truck's diagnostic port: 9-pin for most heavy trucks, 6-pin for older ones, 16-pin OBD-II for pickups and box trucks, Volvo/Mack 16-pin, or RP1226 for 2025 and newer Volvos. Every cable is $29. Not sure? Send us the year, make and model.
